INTRODUCTION

Industrial Training Unit is a unit under Academic Deputy Director which handles Industrial Training Course. T3410 course carries 10 credit hours including Industrial Training soft skills before the students undergo the training. This unit is managing applying, placing, supervising and evaluating PSMZA industrial training. It is controlled by a Head of Liaison Unit, 2 Industrial Liaison and Training officers and admin assistance.

The management of Industrial Liaison and Training Unit is also assisted by the Industrial Training Academic Departmental Coordinators. Industrial Training management information system handles all the students that will complete, in the process of completing and have completed industrial training using visual basic software and it usage will be improved by using PHP.

This unit is actively and dynamically planning and implementing strategic plan and now moving forward to the second phase operation. The activities comprise human resource development (staff, ITADC and students), office equipment and computerized system together with conducive environment in line with the mottos “Together reaching the Victory”.

FUNCTION

Industrial Training unit plays an importance role in managing polytechnic students’ industrial training that will complete, in the process of completing and have completed the industrial training.

OBJECTIVES

• To place qualified students who are undergone industrial training at any organization within the specific time range.
• To fully supervise the students who are doing the industrial training.
• To analyze the students who just finished the industrial training.
• To achieve at least 45% students scored excellent result and 98% students pass industrial training evaluation.
• To bind and retain a good relationship with organization of training
